Six dream internships for hospitality degree students

Internships set the foundation of professional development and foster the “savoir-faire and savoir-vivre” that make hospitality graduates so popular with employers. At Glion, students choose their internships based on personal criteria such as the desire to experience a certain location or property type (such as a boutique hotel in a big city versus an all-inclusive resort on an island) and the practical aspects such as language requirements, work permit restrictions, accommodation offer, and salary. This process leads to some amazing internship opportunities, as the following examples from 2015/2016 show.

This experience outside of the hospitality industry gave him a closer look at the medical technology sector, and it has given him some ideas for future career opportunities where hospitality and healthcare meet. Andrei found his first internship at a well-known 5* hotel in the South of France, the J.W. Marriott, Cannes.  As an assistant Food & Beverage Managing Trainee, he did cross-training within all departments, and even managed to gain knowledge on how each sector is run effectively and differentiated from the others. Belmond Napasai Resort, Thailand – Management Internship
